Some regattas are worth the drive just for the sailing. This one is worth the drive before you even rig the boat.

The 2026 North Sails NSW OK Dinghy State Championship is heading to Vincentia Sailing Club this October for what we reckon could be a pretty special weekend on the beautiful waters of Jervis Bay.

We’re aiming for a six-race series with high-quality, competitive racing throughout the fleet — serious enough to be worthy of a State Championship, but friendly and fun for OK sailors of every level.

And then there’s the venue.

White-sand beaches, clear turquoise water, national parks, coastal walks and some of the most spectacular coastline in NSW. Bring the family and there’s plenty for them to explore while you’re racing — or they can embrace the equally appealing option of finding a beautiful beach and doing absolutely nothing.

Vincentia Sailing Club will be our home for the weekend, with stunning views across the bay, passionate volunteers and the sort of relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that should make this a great weekend both on and off the water.

Travelling down early? We’re also planning a Friday training sail, so come down, get the boat wet and have a look around the racecourse before the championship kicks off.

This has all the ingredients to be one of those NSW States you’ll be glad you made the trip for.
